One of the best cake recipes you can make is the chocolate cake with sweet potato flour. To make this cake, you will need:

  • 50g YAM Nutrition sweet potato flour
  • 200g dark baking chocolate (this is the only source of sugar we will use. In this case, use a 50/55% cocoa chocolate instead)
  • 150 grams of applesauce
  • 3 eggs
  • Coconut oil to butter the cake pan

Preheat your oven to 180°C (356°F) so you can prepare your chocolate in a bain-marie. To do this, place your chocolate in a metal container and place it over a saucepan filled with boiling water. Use a spatula to mix the chocolate evenly.

Next, take the eggs and separate the whites from the yolks. Add the three egg yolks to the chocolate. Mix the chocolate and the yolks. Then add the applesauce and mix everything together. Once everything is well mixed, add the 50g of sweet potato flour . Again, stir everything well with your spatula to obtain a smooth paste.

Then, place the three egg yolks in a bowl and whisk them until stiff. Using your electric mixer, start slowly before gradually increasing the speed. Once the egg whites are stiff, simply combine the two mixtures by adding a little egg white while gradually mixing everything together. Using the spatula, lift the mixture from below to obtain a nice, even, lump-free mousse.

All you have to do is butter the mold with oil. coconut . Pour your batter into the mold and then bake it in the oven at 180°C for 30 minutes.
